Royal Rangers at Southside Assembly of God is a Christ-centered mentoring and activity-based program for boys in Kindergarten through 12th Grade focused on spiritual growth, leadership, life skills, and fun.

There is no cost to be a part of the program—it’s completely free.

Our groups are divided by age to ensure every boy is learning and growing at their level:

Ranger Kids – K–2nd Grade
Discovery Rangers – 3rd–5th Grade
Adventure Rangers – 6th–8th Grade
Expedition Rangers – 9th–12th Grade

FAQs

Royal Rangers is for boys in Kindergarten through 12th grade, with age-appropriate groups and activities for each stage.

Royal Rangers is 100% free to attend. Throughout the year there may be optional activities, camps, or special events that have a small cost, but weekly Wednesday night meetings are completely free.

Absolutely! We encourage every boy to come visit before deciding if it’s a good fit. There’s no pressure and no long-term commitment.

Any Wednesday! Royal Rangers meets every Wednesday at 7:00 PM, and we’d love to welcome your son this week.

Comfortable, play-friendly clothes and closed-toe shoes are best. Many nights include games, outdoor activities, and hands-on projects, so dress for fun!

Every Wednesday includes exciting games, hands-on activities, practical life skills, outdoor adventures, Bible-based lessons, and opportunities to build lasting friendships with positive Christian mentors.

Parents are welcome to walk their son to check-in and meet the leaders, then enjoy one of our adult ministries while Royal Rangers is in session. You’re also welcome to return when the program ends.

Yes! Your son’s safety is one of our highest priorities. All of our leaders are background checked, trained, and committed to providing a safe, caring, and encouraging environment for every child.

Yes! There is no special enrollment period. Your son can join any Wednesday and jump right into the fun.

That’s perfectly okay! Many families who attend Royal Rangers are visiting church for the first time. We’ll help your family feel welcome from the moment you arrive, and your son can participate regardless of his church background.
